DUBLIN, Ohio -- WENDY'S INTERNATIONAL INC. said same-store sales for the five weeks ended Jan. 2 fell 2.1 percent at U.S. company-owned namesake restaurants and between 2 percent and 2.3 percent at U.S. franchised units. At the company's Tim Hortons chain, same-store sales rose 6.5 percent to 6.6 percent in Canada and 9.8 percent in the United States. For the full year same-store sales in the United States rose 2.9 percent at Wendy's company restaurants and between 1.7 percent and 1.8 percent at Wendy's franchised units.
