Jan. 8--PHUKET, Thailand -- On any normal day, Rassada Harbour would be crowded with tourists awaiting to hop a boat for a day jaunt to the Maya or Phi Phi islands.
Not anymore. Since the Dec 26 tsunami, the recently renovated harbour, like other popular tourist venues on Phuket, has been turned into a virtual ghost town.
Taran Tanphaibul looks around the empty reception hall and offers a sigh.
"We would typically earn some nine million baht per month during the high season. Now, our revenues are zero," said Mr Taran, the managing director of harbour operator Seatran Travel.
