Jan. 7--For the umpteenth time over the past several days, actor and model Sarawut Martthong closed his eyes and relived the tsunami.
"I was on Koh Surin on Dec 26. My friends and I had hoped to visit the sea gypsies," he said with a steady voice.
"The first wave swept over the roofs of the houses. Everyone was racing up the hill. By the second wave, the entire village, 30 huts, was gone."
Mr Sarawut, better known as "On", looked very young in his torn jeans and green warmup jacket. But his furrowed brow and weary eyes told a different story, age having come quickly with bitter experience.
