Bank of Thailand offers business aid for 3 provinces hit by tsunami.

Jan. 7--The Bank of Thailand will offer 20 billion baht in financial aid to help support business development in the three southern border provinces.
M.R. Pridiyathorn Devakula, the central bank governor, said the credit line was aimed at helping businesses that had seen their operations disrupted by the unrest in Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala to refinance their current debt.
Sporadic violence since last January in the three Muslim provinces has claimed hundreds of casualties among security forces, civil servants, police officials and suspected separatists.
