Jan. 7--Thai shares gained 1.48 percent yesterday, with continued foreign buying helping to boost overall sentiment.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand index closed at 693.62 points, up 10.12 points, on turnover of 31.06 billion baht. Leading trade were banks, up 2.57 percent, energy, up 1.01 percent, and property, up 3.4 percent.
Net foreign buying yesterday totalled 3.97 billion baht, with 10.88 billion in total buy orders. Foreign investors had a net buy position of 6.43 billion baht on Wednesday.
