Jan. 6--Khunnathee Co, a major marine petroleum tanker service supplier, has offered to take a 30 percent stake in Thai Maritime Navigation Co (TMN), a state enterprise under the Transport Ministry, with an investment worth up to 800 million baht.

The investment fits in with the government's plan to privatise the state enterprise and strengthen the country's merchant marine industry, according to Khunnathee director Somboon Simasaengyaporn.

At present, Khunnathee, with registered capital of 180 million baht, owns and runs two crude oil tankers weighing 45,000 and 90,000 deadweight tonnes. Its operations in Thailand and in ...
