Jan. 6--National Petrochemical Plc (NPC), an olefins producer, will spend about 1.2 billion baht to expand the capacity of its power plant by 35 MW to cope with the rising demand of its petrochemical complex, according to a senior executive.
President Viroj Marvichak said once the expansion was completed, the power plant, located in Map Ta Phut, Rayong, would produce 205 MW of electricity. A bid for the construction, which will take about two years to complete, will be called soon.
