Jan. 6--Sigve Brekke, the architect of DTAC's highly successful consumer-oriented marketing campaigns, yesterday took the local mobile phone industry by surprise by announcing his resignation as director and co-chief executive officer of Total Access Communication Plc (TAC), effective Jan 13.
Mr Brekke is still an employee of Telenor with no official title. Prior to joining TAC, he was the managing director of Telenor Asia. Telenor of Norway holds a 29.4 percent stake in TAC, which operates DTAC, the country's second largest cellular service.
