Jan. 5--Leon County health officials hope to receive more flu vaccine this month so shots can be made available to a broader range of people, including children six months to 35 months of age and those living with high-risk individuals.
The county Health Department ran out of its supply of vaccine in mid-December. When new supplies arrive, the department will make an announcement and begin administering them to high-risk groups.
In the meantime, people who want the flu shot should check with their doctors to see whether it's available, said Dr. Marjorie Kirsch, the department's medical director.
