Dorado creditors face long wait.

Creditors of bankrupt Dorado Marine Inc. hope good things do come to those who wait- -- because they may end up waiting five years to be fully repaid.

But the catch is that most of Dorado's secured creditors may not be eager to hold out for that long.

Others would be made whole only if custom-built boats now on back order are actually sold, said Tampa debtor counsel David Steen, a sole practitioner.

Judge Alexander Paskay in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida in Tampa agreed Monday to set a Feb. 8 hearing on Dorado's disclosure statement.
