Jan. 5--Five groups of companies yesterday submitted bids for the construction of CAT Telecom's 13-billion-baht nationwide CDMA network expansion.
Suchin Pungvora-asn, a CAT Telecom senior executive vice-president, said the one-day bid opening attracted five sets of commercial and technical proposals to expand the mobile phone system.
He said two committees, one each in charge of commercial and technical specifications, would finish the screening by Jan 19 before forwarding a recommendation to the state enterprise's board on Jan 21. Afterward, an electronic auction would take place on Jan 24, he said.
