Pfizer drug seen selling over $1 bil
Standard & Poor's affirmed its hold rating for the drug firm's stock following anti-seizure drug Lyrica's FDA approval for neuropathic pain. But S&P forecasted Lyrica's sales can eventually hit $1 bil annually. If the drug, OK'd for treating neuropathic pain, also is accepted to treat epileptic seizures, it could replace best-selling Neurontin, which garnered about $3 bil in sales last year. S&P also expects Lipitor to grow, offsetting Celebrex declines. Pfizer fell 1.5% to 26.45.
** Microvision rose 2.5% to 7.12 after the optical scanner maker signed a $6.2 mil licensing and development agreement with Johnson & Johnson unit Ethicon Endo-Surgery.
