Jan. 4--With broadband and Internet-protocol based multimedia leading to a revolution in the way the communications industry views its future revenue prospects, telecom providers are planning billions of baht in new investment this year in non-voice services.
The size of Thailand's mobile non-voice market is expected to grow to 14 billion baht this year from 11 billion baht last year. It is emerging as a new way of life, especially among young people seeking entertainment and communications.
