Mueller Industries has been trending up since mid-October, when it gapped down after reporting third-quarter earnings that missed First Call's consensus views. For the past three weeks, it's closed in a tight range, around 32.
The company makes copper tubes as well as brass and copper alloy rods. It's trading near its all-time high of 32.74, which it hit Tuesday.
Earnings grew between 25% and 308% the past four quarters, following four quarters in which earnings fell. Sales have grown in the double digits in the past five quarters after a long period of sales declines or low-single-digit growth.
