Education services firm sues former St. Louis school employee over new company.

Dec. 30--An educational services company claims in a lawsuit that a former employee stole its trade secrets when he set up his own company and got a $700,000 consulting contract with St. Louis Public Schools.

In addition, the former employee listed a school district supervisor as the registered agent of his company, the education services company claims in its suit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in St. Louis.

Alternatives Unlimited Inc., based in Baltimore, is seeking a court order blocking its former employee, Robert Lee, from carrying out the contract, under which he is to advise high schools on how to run in-school…
