MINNEAPOLIS _ Young adults who frequently eat fast food are far more likely to gain weight and develop type II diabetes than those who don't, researchers at the University of Minnesota and elsewhere have found.
"While this sounds like a no-brainer, there really isn't much science at all" linking fast-food diets to an increased risk of developing type II diabetes, said Mark Pereira, assistant professor of epidemiology in the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health.
