Dec. 30--Winston-Salem Business Inc. said yesterday that it has selected a Charlotte contractor to provide grading services for the proposed Dell Inc. plant at Alliance Science and Technology Park.

Blythe Development Co. was the low bidder of the three companies that pursued the grading contract for the 500,000-square-foot plant in southeast Forsyth County, said Bob Leak, the president of Winston-Salem Business. Site preparation is the only part of the plant construction that the local group is handling for Dell.

Leak declined to say how much the contract is worth or disclose the names of the other bidders based on what he said …
