Choice launches urban showcase: urban station Choice FM underlines its support of emerging British talent with new showcase.(The Plot)
CHOICE UK CUTS SHOWCASE
Radio station Choice FM is this week extending its on- and off-air initiative aimed at increasing the exposure given to up-and-coming British urban acts by hosting its first showcase event for new talent.
The Capital Group station is launching the Choice UK Cuts event this Tuesday at London's Tantra, with plans to continue the showcase as a hi-monthly event. The first showcase will feature Estelle (pictured), Zena, Channel 4's Chancers, Kano and Kaper MC.
Choice UK Cuts was initially initially established on-air by the station's DJ Masterstepz, who regularly dedicates 30 minutes of his 8-10pm evening show to only playing new music from UK talent.
As a further progression, Choice FM recently launched a show entirely dedicated to UK urban music titled UK Cuts, which is hosted by UK rapper Phoebe One every Saturday from 10pm-midnight.
