This is with reference to the Music Week article Band Aid Sparks TV Frenzy (27.11.04, p1) and the comment that MTV's support for Band Aid 20 was "disappointing" because we "refused" to broadcast the Band Aid 20 promo during the MTV Europe Music Awards on November 18, 2004.
The report implicated that we have been unsupportive of the Band Aid 20 project. Nothing could be further from the truth: it was technically impossible to include the promo within the MTV Europe Music Awards since the request was made to MTV just hours before the live show.
