WALTERBORO-Thirteen-year-old Paris Gadson's life has taken a sudden turn, and she's not too happy about it.

Gadson, who has lived in the same Green Pond house her whole life, learned this week that next year she will start the eighth grade at a new school with new teachers, making new friends.

"I'm comfortable at my school," she said.

Gadson is one of about 200 students who next year will attend Forest Circle Middle School instead of Colleton Middle School as part of a redistricting plan approved by the Colleton County School Board.
