Logging fast money
On a recent visit to my Mercedes dealer I came upon a CL65 AMG, featured in your Nov. 29 Drivers Log. The car's sticker had a whopping $65,000 dealer adjustment, bringing the total to about $251,000. So to answer Dutch Mandel's question, "Is it worth $185,000,'' some dealers think it's worth a lot more. My dealer added the price of a new SLK to the AMG's MSRP.

More sticker shock
I recently went to my Ford dealer to test the new Mustang, which had a $4,000 "limited availability'' fee added to the sticker. With a base price of $28,000, they are crazy to think someone will pay $32,000 for it.
