Nothing canned here

Why Cory Farley wasn't a recipient of gold in your bushel of International Automotive Media Association awards, I'll never know. The art of automotive writing married to philosophical musing isn't easy, but Farley pulls it off with ease. I have a feeling he could write about canned corn and draw people in.

Scott Gilbertson, Shoreview, Minn.

What's new?

The 2005 Boxster is 80 percent new? From where I sit, it looks like the same ol', same ol'. Maybe Porsche is storing up its creative juices to design a new minivan?

Joe Ropes, Bringhurst, Ind.

Ban that metaphor
