Porschephiles welcome the improved interior and the increased performance of the new Boxster, but they are divided on the car's conservative styling update.

The redesigned Boxster is pure and simple Porsche: beautiful round headlights, separate fog lights and a comfortable, elegant interior.

Unfortunately, the Boxster continues to look like an expensive toy rather than a real man's sports car. I like the new headlights and the ability to operate the roof at 30 mph, but the rear end still looks wimpy.

Sunny Reed, Corona Del Mar, Calif.

I love the Boxster, and it has improved significantly. I like the mid-engine layout and its purity of expression, but it is too darn big. Porsche needs to find itself, because its whole line is becoming too luxurious.
