Dec. 11--Forsyth Technical Community College is considering creating an associate's degree in financial services to better meet the growing job-training needs of local companies.

Officials representing four business programs at the college held a summit yesterday for local financial-services companies to discuss training needs. The seminar included 25 representatives from the banking, credit union, insurance, real-estate, wealth-management and education sectors.
