Dec. 10--BONSALL, Calif. ---- After being on the brink of closure last summer, the Bonsall Charter Academy for Learning is still without a permanent home.

Instead of revoking the 2-year-old academy's charter and shutting the school down, the Bonsall Union School District's board allowed the fledgling charter school to continue operating in portable classrooms on the Bonsall Elementary campus for the first half of this school year. But it said the school needed to find a permanent home soon.

As of Thursday, the sixth- through 12th-grade charter school that serves about 90 students had not found a home, according to Bonsall…
