REVIEW

Dining at Baciu's Bread & Wine reminded me of the Dutch nanny my family had when I was growing up.

She was a large woman with a heavy accent, an Old World air and highly eccentric decorating tastes and she had a heart as big as anyone I've ever met.

Bread & Wine was a lot like that: bizarrely decorated, definitely old school, a little odd, but so well-meaning you couldn't help but love it.

Walking into the restaurant was highly reminiscent of entering the nanny's tidy but cluttered little apartment. My overriding thought was, "I'm glad I don't have to dust here."
