Gov. Richardson said he is against recounting the presidential race in New Mexico.

The recount of the presidential race in New Mexico is in the hands of three people, and one of them has made it plain he's not interested.

The New Mexico Board of Canvass is the decision-maker on the unprecedented recount. It was that group, after all, that certified the election on Nov. 23.

Now that presidential candidates David Cobb of the Green Party and Libertarian Michael Badnarik asked for a recount of the Nov. 2 general election, it is that body that makes the decision to recount or not.
