Byline: Combustion Chamber
Although readers do not agree on the styling of Ferrari's new bread-and-butter car, they affirm the F430 is an impressive successor to the 360 Modena.
The F430 seems like a massive leap forward for Maranello's entry-level car, but Ferrari had no choice facing the Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 911 Turbo and Ford GT.

I prefer the F430's purposeful look to that of the old 360. The stacked headlights are interesting, and I like the side vents ahead of the front wheels. I never liked the 360's styling, with its fender peaks and hopeless integration of character lines as they flowed from the front fenders into the doors.

I like the new F430. The 360 was graceful in a way that a 3.6-liter Ferrari should be. The F430 is more aggressive in a way that shows it intends to better the Gallardo.
