Low-priced CS 200 joins Kodak's Professional DCS
Kodak unveiled a new, filmless digital camera system at Macworld, priced accessibly at less than $10,000 and targeted at a broad base of desktop publishing, scientific, industrial, medical and military imaging applications. The new camera, the DCS 200, joins Kodak's higher-end Professional Digital Camera model in Kodak's emerging family of digital imaging products.
The DCS 200 uses a small-format (14x9.3 cm) CCD array of 1,512x1,012 (1.5 million pixels) built into a special back that fits the Nikon N8008's 35mm camera body. The light-sensitive array takes the place of film, detecting light, converting the …
