Dec. 3--Hana Microelectronics Plc expects only a slight impact on its financial status from the weakening of the US dollar against the baht, according to Issra Sivakul, vice-president and general manager.
He conceded that for every 10 percent rise in the baht, the company's operating profit would be affected to the tune of 40 million baht, an amount he dismissed as negligible when compared to the company's total revenue almost nine billion baht a year.
The impact would be reduced due to the company's forex management strategy, which includes a hedging scheme.
