Dec. 3--Amata Corporation said its board on Nov 29 approved the purchase of shares amounting to 1.40 percent of the registered capital of Amata (Vietnam) from Nippon Investment and Finance at US$168,000, raising its holding to 60.08 percent.

-- Bank of Asia said United Overseas Bank had progressively purchased an additional 35,396,461 shares of the bank through market transactions on the SET at prices not exceeding 5.35 bt each, totalling 189m bt. UOB's shareholding in the bank was 96.8 percent as of Nov 30.

-- BNT Entertainment said the shareholders' meeting to consider and approve the capital increase would be held on Dec 24, register closed Dec 14. Its board on Nov 26 appointed Wachirapong Prichawongvaikul as a director, effective Nov 29.
