Triad region of North Carolina urged not to rest on getting Dell computer plant.

Dec. 2--Dell Inc.'s planned computer-making plant will go a long way toward spotlighting this area as a growing technology center, but the region shouldn't rest on its laurels.

That was the message from U.S. Rep. Mel Watt, who said yesterday that the region needed to continue to develop its biotechnology and science industry.

The comments were made during the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce's Technology Council meeting at the Piedmont Triad Research Park.
