Dec. 2--The local growth of the US fashion brand Von Dutch will hinge on two elements: creating a larger market presence and removing counterfeit goods that result in losses of millions of dollars, according to brand owner Tonny Sorensen.
Speaking in Bangkok yesterday at the opening of his third outlet at Central Chidlom department store, he said that of all Asian countries, Thailand had the largest problem of Von Dutch counterfeits.
He is consulting with a worldwide organisation with a special task force to clean up the problem, and also intends to work with local police to raid producers of fake Von Dutch ...
