Dec. 2--After four years of focusing on developing the country's grassroots economy, if elected to a second term, the Thai Rak Thai Party will place more emphasis on value-added exports and boosting the country's competitiveness, according to Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
Mr Thaksin, addressing the CEO Dialogue conference yesterday at the Plaza Athe{AAC}ne{AAC}e Hotel, said raising productivity and competitiveness was crucial for Thailand's medium-term growth.
