Law-enforcement agencies probe Furniture USA.

Dec. 1--Furniture USA in Clemmons has been the subject of several lawsuits in recent months and is being investigated by local, state and federal law-enforcement agencies.

Furniture USA could not be reached for comment.

The civil actions include a complaint by FAI Westwood Limited Partnership, a South Carolina limited partnership; and Joe and Michelle Velten of Pineville.

FAI Westwood filed a lawsuit in Forsyth Superior Court Oct. 14 against the furniture company, which primarily does business over the Internet.
