Seaspray may stop spread of TB
In a finding that could help control respiratory disease epidemics like SARS and tuberculosis, U.S. and German researchers found an inhaled saline spray cut down the number of germ-spreading droplets expelled while coughing by as much as 70% for 6 hours. Biotech firm Pulmatrix plans to introduce an over-the-counter saline spray within the next two years.
