Italian-Thai Development's founder dies at 83.
Dec. 1--Chaijudh Karnasuta, the founder and chairman of Italian-Thai Development Plc, died on Monday. He was 83.
Dr Chaijudh was born in Nakhon Pathom in 1921 to Tiantek and Riew Karnasuta. He graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from Siriraj Medical School and later received an honorary doctorate in Engineering from Prince of Songkhla University.
After graduating from medical school, he taught medicine before serving in the military for 16 months, and then went to Suphan Buri to run his father's business. After two years, he moved to Bangkok to help his brother-in-law salvage ships from the Gulf of Thailand under contracts from the Harbour Department.
