Nov. 30--VANCOUVER, Wash. -- An extra 7,880 flu shots soon will be available for high-risk residents of Clark County.

The Washington Department of Health announced Monday that 92,270 doses of vaccine will be distributed to 28 counties that had asked for more. Eleven counties did not request more.

Clark County's shots will be shared through an interagency partnership with Skamania County. The county's health department will announce later where the shots will be available.

Confirmed cases of influenza are below expectations, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control. Washington's cases are described as…
