Nov. 24--TAMPA, Fla. -- Suspended NBA player-turned-music pitchman Ron Artest plugged his record label's new R&B CD Tuesday, but music fans in Tampa weren't buying Artest's pitch.

During national interviews, Indiana Pacers forward Artest wore a cap with the logo of his record label -- TruWarier Records, which on Tuesday released a CD called "Chapter III," by the R&B trio Allure.

Artest's name also appears on the CD cover.

But music shops in Tampa said Artest's hype didn't help sales of the CD. Artest's own CD is expected to be released next month or early 2005.
