After several months of negotiations, New York investment banking firm Blackstone Group agreed to buy heavily indebted Days Inns of America Inc. for $250 million. As part of the agreement, the 1,214-hotel, Atlanta-based chain sought Chapter 11 protection from creditors on Sept. 27 in Delaware.
