2004 NOV 27 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Lawyers for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island argued November 4, 2004, that the process the state used to choose another company to provide health insurance for its employees and retirees was so flawed that a Superior Court judge should intervene.
Jeffrey Gladstone, a lawyer for Blue Cross, which holds a soon-to-expire contract for state employees' and retirees' health insurance, asked Judge Daniel Procaccini to place a temporary hold on the contract award while the insurer proceeds with a lawsuit.
