Nov. 9--More flu vaccine is on its way to Florida -- 140,000 adult doses and about 4,500 pediatric doses -- to be distributed to each county health department late this week or early next week, Florida Secretary of Health John Agwunobi said Monday.
In Broward County, the vaccine will be distributed to hospital districts and other community sources, and there is no central number to call.
Only those considered at high risk will qualify for a shot -- people 65 or older, nursing home or long-term care residents, people with asthma or heart or lung disease, pregnant women, people with weakened immune systems, or people with kidney…
