Nov. 5--Sony Ericsson plans to aggressively pursue sales growth with the aim of overtaking Samsung, the second-place mobile handset brand, within the next five years.
The move is in line with the Japanese-Swedish joint venture's global business strategy of exploiting the trend towards "digital convergence" by shifting its focus to four key areas: camera-phones, voice-based mobiles, wireless entertainment and business applications.
