Nov. 5--Despite a slew of negative factors that have the potential to dampen business, Thai businessmen expect to see economic growth continue well into next year or at least the first quarter, according to the results of a survey released yesterday.

The majority of the survey's 600 respondents, representing small to large corporations across the country, have pinned their future hopes on new economic stimulus measures to be launched by the government, said the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

They were confident that the next round of the government's grassroots economic stimulus measures would encourage more consumer spending.
