Bank of Thailand opens banknote distribution centers.

Nov. 5--The Bank of Thailand has opened 11 banknote distribution centres nationwide to replace the services of local treasury centres.
Yodchai Chusri, an adviser to the central bank, said the centres would distribute banknotes to commercial banks in rural areas as well as destroy and replace worn out notes.
Commercial banks have agreed to set up 152 cash centres to act as contact agents for the distribution centres, rather than having each branch contact the centres directly.
