Regional airfares in Asia-Pacific region edge higher in third quarter.
Nov. 5--The latest American Express Airfare Index for the Asia-Pacific region showed increases on many routes, particularly those from Australia and Japan, in the third quarter of this year.
Modest increases were also recorded on routes from Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Taiwan.
For Thailand, when compared to the second and first quarter of this year, airfares showed a slight increase of about 0.1 percent in all classes, according to American Express Company, a diversified worldwide travel and financial services firm.
