Nov. 4--Chalachol Co, the operator of Chalachol hair salons, has dropped plans to expand overseas and now is focusing instead on upgrading its local outlets to offer new, high-tech services.
Chairman Somsak Chalachol said plans to expand in Southeast Asia were terminated due to a number of unforeseen obstacles.
"It's very complicated to open a hair salon business overseas. The markets there do not really welcome foreigners," he said yesterday.
Consequently, the company is now focusing on expanding locally. At the same time, it is adding more value to its services by implementing database technology ...
