The Belgian telecommunications industry is truly at the leading edge of today's technology.
In 1990, revenue from Belgian equipment vendors soared to approximately $1.5 trillion. This is largely due to Belgium's world class telecom vendors who collectively provide a broad spectrum of services and equipment, ranging from public and private communications networks to switching equipment. Since 1985, this sector has grown 57%.
Belgium's largest equipment providers have developed internationally known research and development centers and are leaders in the global telecommunications industry.
