Speaking at the VIII International Conference on AIDS/III STD World Congress, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Frank D. Goebel, M.D., presented data from a Phase II open clinical trial in AIDS patients with Kaposi's sarcoma (KS).

Of 30 evaluable patients enrolled in the study, all patients treated with Doxil have responded to therapy following two courses of treatment.

Doxil, a new investigational drug developed and owned by Liposome Technology Inc. (LTI), Menlo Park, California, is a long-circulating Stealth liposome formulation of the anticancer drug doxorubicin hydrochloride.
