Nov. 2--The Association of Brewers, a Boulder-based nonprofit group that promotes the small-brewer industry, is joining forces with North Carolina-based Brewers' Association of America, a similar trade association.

The new group, The Brewers Association, will be based in Boulder. It is expected to be up and running by Jan. 1.

"It's so logical, the small-brewing industry needs to have one voice speaking for it," said Daniel Bradford, president of the Brewers' Association of America.
